About Me

Joann: I have been a professional artist and art teacher for the better part of my life. I started painting seriously when my children were babies and for over 20 years painted, designed, taught and travelled within the decorative art industry. A few years ago I realized I needed some time off, so I put down the paint brush and picked up a camera. Learning photography gave me not only beautiful photographs to use as reference material but a new vision and focus to my artwork. I work in acrylic, oils and coloured pencils in a representational style. PINTEREST: I love Pinterest and have enjoyed spending time there. I have created boards where I post pics of my artwork but if you wish to share any photos from my blog you are welcome to do so as long as you give credit to me as the owner.
